I've just remembered the last time I had to deal with a bloke like this. He had form for being a knobhead, especially when drunk, and I'd called him out on it more than once. But he was also friends with my best mate's BF, so I was generally just polite enough to not cause drama. If he'd had two braincells to rub together, he'd have figured out that I would never in a million years sleep with him.

He asked me out. Actually, he asked me if I wanted to go for a night out with best mate, best mate's BF and a few others, so I assumed it was a social invitation, not a date. So I said yes. And he said, "I was so nervous about asking you, It's been a while since I asked anyone on a date." And I noped the fuck out of there so fucking fast! I did get a little criticism afterwards for being harsh, but he got the message and left me alone. Sometimes anything less subtle than a brick in the face will be misinterpreted as potential interest. Also, he went to jail later for armed robbery, so fuck him!

This all got very long and rambly. Sorry. The point I was trying to make is that you can't rely on men to pick up subtle cues, and you should prepare yourself for the strong possibility that this man will not want to be your friend anymore once he realises you aren't going to fuck him.
