The idea of having your own garden and growing your own food is more of a hobby and less of a lifestyle here. American and Canadian culture centres around convenience unfortunately which means prepackaged and ready to go. Same for growing weed I suppose. Legal weed is expensive and taxed heavily. We have cannabis shops (legal) and dispensaries/mail-order (not legal but no legal action is taken). We are only 6 years into legalization so we still have stuff to work out.
