May adults tends to treat and speak to children as if they are already adults and the result is traumatized children. When I say prepare them to be adults, I'm not saying to treat them like adults as children, but as you outlined, explain things to them and engage them in the life and process of home living. It's not hard. Many adults suffer from horrible parenting, though, and just perpetuate the cycle with their own children.",
