A lot of obesity here in the American Midwest. The amount of massive jugs and bottles of soda consumed is amazing. A lot of places upsell with discounts to larger sizes. Who needs 64oz or even 32oz of soda with a meal? I’m sure there’s all kinds of changes people could make, but cut out just soda (and any high sugar drink) out and I think we’d see a big change. Same with fast food. Thing is it’s cheap, and pretty good. So people at least here will keep eating it. Same with alcohol. I’ve know overweight (not necessarily obese) people stop drinking, and with no other change to diet, no exercise, lose a lot of weight (in these cases they were drinking significantly). I’m not an expert but these seems like some simple changes one could make.
