my mind often wanders until i trip over an unsettling memory. then i do a loud sigh, like someone who just remembered that loss exists. then i stop wandering and return to what i'm doing.
but i wonder, what if i didn't turn around but kept going. i'd have to go through a dreadful feeling though. not really sure how. the first instinct is to flee, and i'm good at fleeing.
