Growing up, my mom hoped I'd convert to a coffee drinker.
I traveled with a pastor and my mom jokingly asked him to influence me.
Eh, after about a year of me being on his team traveling about once a month, he took a break from coffee 😅
Then I worked as a substitute teacher for a bit, also a super heavy coffee culture and lots of people convert there. Nope, still not for me.
Then I worked at a church for a while, another high coffee consumption place, still nothing.
Then I worked nights at a hotel... the day staff kept being surprised how much energy I had in the mornings, still without having had any coffee!
Now I'm married to someone who likes coffee, and my mom has handed over the reins, hoping that maybe at least my husband would be able to convert me.
I have tried his coffee sometimes, (TINY sips) and I have to admit that it doesn't have as big of a negative effect on me as it did before, but still not for me.
Then I tried his mocha once, and it was better, but still had that awful aftertaste.
However, the Starbucks peppermint mocha cut the aftertaste, so I have had one of those, once! And I finished all 12 oz!
However, those are super expensive so I would not consider myself converted yet! 😎🤣
