It has been pointed out numerous times - and this is yet another good example - that for all intents and purposes the two-dimensional Political Compass is a misreading of how politics works. In practise one sees a single trend line from antiauthoritarian Left to authoritarian Right, and almost everything sits somewhere on that trend line. Apart from a few outliers, it's a one-dimensional axis.
