By "millenium demon" I aimed to represent the idea that the climate disruption created by oil giants will haunt humanity for far longer than most realize. The atmospheric half-life of carbon dioxide is stable. 30% of it just stays up there for 3000 years.
Long after capitalism, long after Shell, millenium demons are still haunting us.
By 2100 we'll still be only be 3% of the way there, and that's IF we stop the madness of emitting more.
