I finally found a download manager that work on both Windows and Linux, plus Apple macOS, and even BSD (FreeBSD).
What I like is it works with Vivaldi browser, too. Vivaldi is my favorite web browser, but oddly, the built-in download manager, would ignore integration with any other download manager. Finding a download manager that worked in Vivaldi, while also having multi operating system support, was not easy.
Persepolis Download Manager, is what I finally settled on.
However, the default style that is used called, "Fusion", is absolutely broken in Microsoft Windows, and by that I mean, the display font was so tiny (micro), that you could not read anything. This was easy enough to fix, by simply changing the style to anything else.
I am including a screenshot, since I am confident, most people would not be able to find the settings otherwise, because of just how small (tiny) the text is when using their "Fusion" style. Personally, I picked "system" so it would always match with whatever style I am using. In my opinion, that should have been the default.
You can find the free, open source, download manager, Persepolis on their website, hosted by, GitHub. https://persepolisdm.github.io
