You're not wrong. The first gen EVs are now more than 10 years old and are still going strong. All the worry about the batteries lasting has turned out to be load of hooey.
Around here Im seeing quite a few high school kids (new drivers) with old EVs. This generation will be the first in 100 years that never know the pain of perpetual fossil fuel expenses.
