If I cannot build the binary myself, I won't run it on any hardware I own (well, not modern hardware anyway :) ) I really hope you find a way to achieve what you want without requiring people to download "signed" binaries - server or client. Again - open source distribution should not be a problem. If you're worried about people seeing how things are done, you're likely doing something wrong. I guess the hardest part is to prevent cheating, but a good design should be resilient even to that -- but now I'm talking well outside my field of experience so I'll shut up now :)
