It may sound radical, but I would sooner have society constructed around the crudest lie, so long as it was grassroots, than to hand over the keys to the truth to some state entity.
Fact checkers, as they have come to be called, are merely contextualising information to suit an end, and as such, are just another projection of power, like a missile, or a gun.
