You can find the Zot6 spec in the Hubzilla repository. Nomad is basically Zot6 but with a handful of additional anti-monopoly features. These have not yet been documented.
Nomad is our "plan B" against monopolists that desire to Embrace, Extend, and Extinguish us. I used to say when/if, but it has since become clear that we aren't welcome in the ActivityPub fediverse.
The high-level overview is that just like streams sites have no brand identity, they can also have no protocol identity. The Nomad fediverse is more like radio. You'll tune into the fediverses you want to communicate with and be completely invisible to "scanners".
This work is nearly complete. I'll push the current spec once all those bits are in place.
