McKenzie River Tr. Backpacking: Day 1

On Friday, I headed south to backpack the McKenzie River Trail last minute due to rain in southern Washington. What a gem of a trail. I was under the impression I hiked it 20 years ago but I was wrong. I sprained my ankle 4 miles in but it turned out to be minor. The trail crosses creeks and rivers many times. One crossing was on the longest log i’ve ever seen. Beautiful trail.
