I'm finding it extra difficult not to be cynical about the Rust/kernel chatter this week

Would you go into someone else's house and tell them they need to clean up? Or that their lifestyle has been unsafe and immoral?

The impression I'm getting from Rust evangelists is they did exactly that, then were completely surprised at the reaction.
