Quite likely my biggest blind spot, which I talk a bit about here:

is that I assume we can overcome cognitive resistance to broader analysis prior to major collapse. When I look at social media I see reactive cognition, rather than analysis or reference to maps. As an example, our civilization runs on oil, and I see a constant stream of "stop burning oil". Most materials and construction comes from oil. I won't stop building agile mapping tools, but I may not see use.
