I have to admit that I didn't think a lot about ableism before I joined fedi
I was certainly against it in theory and willing to check myself if I became aware that I was engaging in ableist thought processes, but it wasn't something that was on my mind very often
I'm very grateful that I have friends here who share their thoughts on ableism on a routine basis, it has opened my eyes to a lot of my own problematic assumptions and thought patterns and motivated me to be better 💜
