Shocked by the news of David Lynch's death. A favorite director, an incredibly talented author, and a man whose work had a huge impact on me.

As a high school student I was blown away by his Twin Peaks, which combined mysticism, detective and absurdist comedy. And the relatively recent third season was a masterpiece in which all the usual patterns and expectations go to hell.

A true genius. I wish I could see his new, even more exciting and interesting creations.
