The problem with capitalism is that it is based on exploitation and creates a self serving class held together by greed. Wealth buys politicians who govern for the wealthy. Autocracies don’t pretend it’s otherwise, and democracies create a veneer of concern for the general public. The Tories have stopped the pretence of a veneer.
The solution has to start with proportional representation, public ownership of public services and tight regulation of business.
