My hobby: coming up with increasingly complex and expensive ways to deal with the permanent ice and snow on the roads here in the Arctic.

My latest idea: double-sided road segments that flip around periodically to reveal the non-icy side, dumping the accumulated snow and ice from the exposed side into giant channels underneath the road deck. Heat those channels to melt the ice and snow.
