Ultramarine Linux v40 is out.
Ultramarine Linux (KDE Spin), is what I recommend to 1st time Linux users. It simply, just works, out of the box.
No need to install non-free media codecs, they're already included. No need to hunt down your GPU drivers, no matter if you're using AMD, Intel, or Nvidia, they've got you covered. No need to add the common repos, those are already enabled. No bloatware and no trail-ware bundled either.
Easy point and click install, configuration, and update without need to use the terminal. Automatically be notified when there are updates and decide when YOU want to update, or enable the option to automatic update if you wish.
Easily install 3rd party apps by either using the app store, or download and double-clicking an RPM package, the same way you would a Windows setup file (again, no need to jump into the terminal).
That said, the terminal is there (naturally), just like how Windows has PowerShell. You can use it if you wish, but like PowerShell, most home users will not usually need to use it.
To sum up, it works out of the box, and it is easy to use.
