Going to start my #JukeboxFridayNight extra early, because I'm not working, and because I'm likely to spend quite a lot of today snoozing as I recover from my surgery.
Did wonder if anyone would've already posted this for #RockAndRollDivas, but it seems not. So I am honoured to share a truly wonderful video.
This is the incomparable Sister Rosetta Tharpe, performing at a disused and rain-drenched station in Manchester. It was made for a 1964 Granada TV special called Blues And Gospel Train.
Basically, every British guitarist from the mid-60s to the end of the 70s was inspired by this. Its impact was immeasurable.
And it is an absolute, unqualified joy. I urge you all to give it eight minutes of your day.
