If Apple also reflects the change from ABC to XYZ, or if there is no itunes ID on either feed the index removes XYZ and changes ABC to XYZ url.
There are multiple edge cases that can cause manual intervention to be needed. Like in the first scenario or if both have an itunes id claiming the same feed url, etc.
