(2/5) Waikaremoana Great Walk. There are very limited views as you make your way along Panekiri Bluff, but when there is a window, the vistas are nothing short of spectacular (📷1–3). After 6.5km arrive at Bald Knob, 1161m (579m above lake). This is a short detour off the main track & a great spot for a picnic after about 3h walking. We returned to Onepoto after a bite & drinking in the views (📷4).
