Purchased my 200-500mm wildlife lens in '22. It's big (5 lbs) so it's takes practice to be able to track birds in flight. Canada geese are good practice subjects b/c they fly fairly slow and straight, they're large birds, they're often in large flocks, and they follow similar flight patterns.
But they're also incredibly beautiful birds, especially in flight. They're wings are just gorgeous, imo.
