A thing I don’t see discussed much is bandwidth and data on social media. Like, in early Internet tymes, we had to resize images to low-res crap for quick loading and there were monthly caps on images and video uploads on some services. We haven’t had those limitations since this age of pocket camera-computers and I’m not convinced anyone thinks about the size of their photos and videos they’re sharing to these microblogging sites. What is this data costing admins of small Fedi instances?
