I'm sorry, fren. That's such an immensely pessimistic view of the world. There will always be bad. Humanity will always be challenged. With all the bad there is also a lot of good.
Active parents have an impact on nearly all of those things. Unless you decide to peace out on your kids life....
I've seen more darkness than most but I would never use that as an excuse to give up on the good stuff.
