Not for the first time, I've been told that I'm a very cheerful and untroubled person at work because I'm always smiling in meetings etc.

I am of course in no way cheerful and untroubled. I'm sitting here trying to figure out when is an appropriate time for a reaction. And smiles are unthreatening. I'm anxious and stressed and trying to survive the situation until I can get back to nobody paying any attention to me.
