As average house prices nearly reach their peak level of three years ago (nearly £300k), across the press we'll likely see stories about 'returning health' to the house market, or 'renewed growth' as if this is somehow good news.
Certainly for the housing-as-asset class crowd it *is* good news but, BUT IT IS NOT!.
Higher house prices are the symptom of the problem - ouR housing stock is misallocated, people are priced out of decent homes & not enough social housing is being built!!!
