We hosted an Independent Bitcoin Education Unconference in El Salvador
We planned some speakers, but also left time at the day's start for everyone present to participate in filling out the rest of the schedule. The goal, like so much of what
@MyfirstBitcoin_
does, was to try and learn from #Bitcoin itself and move toward decentralization and giving agency to the individual
It was a wild success. So much so that we decided to organize them internationally in 2024. We will continue to learn, document the process & open source everything by this years end. We believe that our particular version, focused on grassroots Bitcoin education efforts, will create stronger communication channels to share best practices, strengthen individual projects and speed up the timeline. We also hope to encourage others within the Bitcoin space to apply the concept in their own way, within their own focus
Our first Unconference of the year will be Feb 29th in Madeira, Portugal, one day before
