I write the slides in Markdown and then output them to PDF and HTML using Pandoc, with gpp for some preprocessing so that I can include common components (especially useful when writing quiz slides where I wanted separate outputs for questions and answers). They don't look great by default but they're good enough for my purposes, and mean I can automate builds and keep the sources in Git.
