There is near-universal consensus (97–99.9%) in the peer-reviewed scientific literature that the climate is changing as a result of human activity. However, the public often considerably underestimates this consensus.

Communicating this scientific consensus can shift consensus perceptions, beliefs in the reality of climate change and human activity as its primary cause, climate change worry and support for public action.
