Been brewing up another short story series for after Greenhouse Museum and...asking myself what kind of world setting I want to work in
For the #SFF crowd and #WritingCommunity: if the setting is another world where magic exists, how much would it annoy you to see modern tech conveniences? Does that get wiped away if it's labeled solar/lunarpunk? Would you expect an explanation at some point as to how both exist together?
I tend to think that readers and writers don't like blending the two. Or that if it is blended, it needs to be based in the real world somehow and have limitations on the magic end. Just mulling things over and I'd love some input! šš
