I would say the difference is a political like Bernie pretends to be motivated by ideology only to backflip on it. It seems hypocritical.
Saylor is a capitalist motivated by increasing his wealth and creating shareholder value so in his case capitulation at least seems more "honest". Or at least not like he is violating his stated values.
