"content": "I fully agree these need to be honored, along with etag. I’ll only add that, as someone who spent many hours tweaking our pollers to get this stuff right, there are many buggy http servers out there that don’t respond correctly when given the If-modified-since header. I had to code in some workarounds. \n\nI wonder if there is some percentage of devs that put in initial work and then see the odd responses and shelve the idea, not wanting to mess up their system. \n\n🤷♂️",
