I am thoroughly confused about “left” and “right,” so understanding how other people use the terms is helpful to me.
Am I right that a leftist government is one in which there is a great deal of public ownership and, to the maximum extent possible, ordinary people participate in government so that decisions reflect the most citizens’ interests as possible? Therefore, weapons would be made in government-owned factories and, probably, fewer would be made at all because more citizen involvement would mean fewer actions, including wars, that do not reflect citizens’ interests?
