I've refrained from joining the "Dems should..." chorus because I haven't had a crystal-clear recommendation.
But here's one: organize and publicize a mass exodus from Twitter to Bluesky (ideally with accounts that opt in to the Fediverse bridge).
Explain that you'll crosspost to Twitter but only interact on Bluesky because you can no longer support Twitter's toxicity.
Announce a day and do it with journos who are looking for a way to make the same move.
