Yeah I don't have much to tell you I've been much the same, but one thing I can say is chatting up people you meet, just making small talk, should be a reflex. Like breathing. It is just something you do.
When you go out specifically to meet girls, you'll get depressed. But if you just chat with someone as you come across them, well that you can definitely do. You'll succeed 100% of the time.
Like nuggy says the real work is in getting hobbies and focusing on them, building up social networks from there. The days of cold approach are generally over so you are going to meet girls through those social networks.
