I had a six month trial Apple Music subscription during lockdown ( the free subs given away with Apple devices were cumulative).

During that time I listened to a lot of the prog rock that my friends loved when I was a teenager, but I dismissed as boring at the time.

I wanted to see if I missed out, if it really was "timeless and classic" and that I was indeed a philistine. It wasn't all bad, but most was tiresome, pretentious and forgettable. In hindsight I had better taste than I thought.
