This is my slowest current project — it’s a handspun laceweight garter stitch shawl, and I usually only get it out when I can’t concentrate on anything else.

I took it with me to a doctor’s office recently, and someone in the waiting room was boggling at the tiny stitches. I shrugged and said, “it’ll be finished when it’s finished; right now I’m enjoying the knitting.” For a change, the person actually got the idea; random people don’t always understand this.
