Y'know, up until now, telling outright lies while running for office was considered gauche, mostly because people worried that being found out as a liar would somewhat drain the responsible party's political capital.

We're past that now. Going forward, I think candidates shouldn't shy away from even the most outlandish promises, or from shrieking angrily at anyone questioning their sincerity.

When I am president, I will abolish speed limits so there will be no more rush hour traffic jams!
