I don't normally do the Nonprofit Fundraiser Thing™️ here, because it's mostly not very exciting, but this is the nonprofit I work for - we have lawyers and social workers help kids to get out of immigration detention, get legal immigration status, change their legal guardian if they're unsafe at home, and avoid expulsion from school, and we help them access things like food, medical care, housing, and support with healing from trauma.

Basically if you want to do the end-of-year charitable donation thing and you're not sure where you can donate and be able to trust that your money won't be put toward champagne brunches for wealthy executives or whatever, I can attest that this is a 💯 org, is staffed by genuinely phenomenal humans who I'm honored to work with, and as someone who's all up in the finances, I can tell you that our hoooo-boy-tight budget is going to the right things. 💙
