Punished Kero on Nostr: Popular literary dystopias are more desirable for the common man than the current ...
Popular literary dystopias are more desirable for the common man than the current current societies we live in. Brave New World had eugenics, 1984 has ethnostates, The Handmaid's Tale had patriarchy, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep had runaway technological progress, Man in the High Castle had a global Third Reich. Besides Children of Men most cinematic dystopias lack mass third world immigration, many are hypermodern technocracies with colonies on other planets (Gattaca, Blade Runner). Some have eliminated crime altogether (Minority Report). Virtually none of these contain Indians.
