I'm currently considering whether I need to come up with my own time system for the fantasy novel. In particular, I am thinking of an alternative unit for hours. Has anyone tried this before, or would it just complicate the story unnecessarily?
Having a character say something like "The next village is 2 hours away" just doesn't feel right in this world.
