#PennedPossibilities 205 — Do any of your characters have an accent? (This all depends on where they’re from and where they currently are, of course.)
I love this question. (I'm a sucker for questions involving the little things)
Ta'regi/Parthia speaks with a fairly neutral accent in common. However when she's emotionally upset in any direction, a pronounced Orcish accent shows up, if not slides into full Orcish. She learned Orcish from her husband Pintac who spoke it as his primary language until early 20s. About 70% of the conversations between them were in Orcish. Which lead to the village "sport" of placing bets on what the odd overheard shouting were about since nobody else in the village spoke Orcish, (usually somebody stepped on a puddle left by snow that wasnt swept off the floor)
Amara. She has a very strong accent. She didn't properly learn common until about 12/13, and has been speaking an archaic Druidic dialect as a primary language within the Solanum Sisterhood for 60+yrs. She's a little slow if talking in common because she thinks in Druidic, and has to translate before speaking.
