Economic growth shallowed since 2016, following the chasm of COVID it rebounded to the same level by mid 2022 and it's been virtually flat since then.

The higher interest rate may have contributed a little but they are still historically very low interest rates. There is a significant argument for levelling up to 5% and promoting personal investment again which has been hollowed out over the past 15 years; it may also suppress house prices.
