When people produce software they attach a license, anything from 'no restrictions', through 'no commercial use' or on the other end 'license holders only'. This is essential so everyone knows what they can do with software they receive.

We don't have an equivalent for social media posts.. so it leads to ambiguities. I'm not sure what the solution to that is.. clearly attaching a copy of the GPL to everything you write would be silly..
