The excerpt describes Paul Rassinier's views on the Holocaust and his criticisms of other texts on the subject. In his book in 1964, "The Drama of the European Jews," Rassinier concluded that there was no policy of extermination by Nazi Germany in the Holocaust, and he criticized other texts like Raul Hilberg's "The Destruction of the European Jews." He also questioned witness testimony and the technical feasibility of the claimed methods of extermination. Rassinier cited a Zionist book to assert that Jewish organizations were conspiring to use Nazi crimes to extort money to fund the State of Israel. In Part II of his book, he presented a statistical study intended to counter the work of Leon Poliakov and Hilberg, using a 1934 study by Arthur Ruppin as his starting point. Some of Rassinier's critique, particularly of Miklós Nyiszli's "Doctor At Auschwitz," were partially confirmed by the forensic historian Jean-Claude Pressac in 1989. Rassinier's work has been criticized by Pierre Vidal-Naquet, who called it "Anatomy of a Lie" in a paper he wrote in 1980.
