Fedi is geared towards broadcasting one-off messages out into the world, sharing funny, interesting or important things. You get interaction, but sometimes it feels shallow, and less meaningful to me. You only send each other messages of a few lines every once in a while, and never have a proper conversation.
There are many people I'd like to get to know better. Followers and others I encounter here regularly, that seem nice and I'd like to chat with. But I can't because Fedi just doesn't work that way.
