If you setup a SOCKS5 tor gateway, does all system DNS get routed through it? I didn't think so. And if not, then all software has to know to route through it, and most software and libraries won't. Please point me to a source, it very well could have been 'fixed' years ago (I can't imagine how to fix it myself) and I didn't know about it.
